Welcome to the Alcorn Farms meat market. Our lamb meat is USDA inspected and representative of Kentucky Proud. Our lambs are raised on our farm in Shelby County, Kentucky. They are fed on the milk of their moms until they are roughly 3 months old.  During that time, we offer grain from a local feed mill in Baghdad, Kentucky. The lambs are weaned at 90 days and then are solely on grain and grass pasture. We use antibiotics very rarely with the lambs, only when absolutely necessary. We do not use supplemental hormones at all with our lambs. Our lamb meat is lean and tender. Lamb meat is sadly missing from the American dinner table. Lamb meat is rich in protein and full of vitamins and minerals. Some people think that lamb tastes a little “gamey”. The flavor of the lamb meat can be controlled and enhanced with the correct cut of meat and seasonings such as commercially prepared rubs, your own rub, and seasonings such as rosemary, garlic, thyme and oregano.
